On the above page "Register Your" my email address is refused 
as "Email Address is improperly formatted". I reached this page from the 
concluding screen of the installation.

The same email address is accepted on "Register for an account" and I have received the welcome emails.

My email address is ***** (* = chars a to z)
I guess it is the '-' (dash/minus) character that is rejected.

I too am getting the same issue, I cannot register because my email address is
'improperly formatted' when quite clearly it is not. I have been using my email
address for years and it conforms to the RFC for email address format. It
happens to have a - (hyphen) in the domain part but that should not cause an issue.

I cannot believe this issue was reported in April but is not fixed.

Same problem: hyphen in the domain name, email address accepted on "Register for
an account"
