Description andreschnabel 2003-02-03 21:22:09 UTC
The definition of a frame-style seems to get lost if a writer-document is used
in a master document.

What I have done:
- Created two Writer documents based on the same Template
- Created a master document and asignd the styles from the template (Format -
Styles - Load...)

Write some Text, insert pics, tables and so on in the writer-docs. All pics got
a caption. The resulting frame got the style "frame".
This style is defined with "no wrap" in my template. Now, the writer-docs were
looking fine. (See directory "OK" in the attached zip-file)

Now I inserted the documents into my master document. All looked fine for the
first moment. After closing and reopening the master document some frames have
"page wrap". See directory "ERR_Frame", Page 6, "Abbildung 4". I attached a pdf
of this page, becaus I could reproduce this error only with 80%

You can find all files in the attached zip. I inserted all files, i was using
(maybe some of the other are broken ?). There are two more directories in the
File. I'd like to refere to this zip from other issues.

My environment:
OOo 1.0.1 german (Net / Workstation install) on WinXP pro.
The Problem also occures with 643 (english).
The problem was reported by some other members of the german dev-list (Linux,
Mac and windows-Environments)

If it is of interest, you can find the template used at:

Master doc is tested from ES
Comment 3 eric.savary 2003-02-11 15:30:27 UTC
Reproducible in a 643c, not anymore in a 644s.
ES->Andre: please try to isolate problems in the sample files. Don't
submit a whole documents series when it can be reproduced in one page.
Thank you.

I attached all the files, because the problem sometimes occured to
differend frames.
Furhtermore I did not know the root cause, why this happened. It could
be a broken style in the used template.

I really hope, this is Issue is fixed in 644s generally and not only
for this one example.

I've just downloaded 644ml (reports as build 8516) and opened the
examples. I got the same error as with older builds.
I have some other documents with the same problem ... with 644ml it
seems to occure even more often than with 1.0.2.

So what schould I do now?
btw. this one is a main reason, why we at the germanophone project
have stopped work on a documentation.

I'm setting Christian to cc, because he knows both projects "qa" and "de".
