Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 112196
Openoffice crashes in the registration window
Last modified: 2012-02-06 15:49:57 UTC
I installed OO 3.2.1 (not the RC, I didn't find the normal 3.2.1 in the "found in version" menu) from the RPM packages. When I start OO, I have the registration window. If I click on next, or click on cancel, I get the following shell message: line 127: 10261 Segmentation fault "$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@"
Sorry, the error I wrote before was about opening documents. Here the right error: Application: (soffice.bin), signal: Segmentation fault [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0xb6a936c0 (LWP 11044))] Thread 3 (Thread 0x2b8ab70 (LWP 11045)): #0 0x0098a416 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0x009a65e4 in pthread_cond_timedwait@@GLIBC_2.3.2 () at ../nptl/sysdeps/ unix/sysv/linux/i386/i486/pthread_cond_timedwait.S:236 #2 0x08f11bd4 in __pthread_cond_timedwait (cond=0xf49cf4, mutex=0xf49b94, abstime=0x2b8a36c) at forward.c:152 #3 0x00dcd87b in ?? Is there an old .openoffice.org folder in your $HOME? Can it be that this folder is from a previous not native office version? have you tried to rename/delete this folder? What linux do you use?
I deleted the folder and tried to reinstall openoffice 3.2.1 from rpm packages downloaded from the website of OpenOffice. Nothing had changed. I use Fedora 13
32bit
cd: Set pl on CC. Looks like a problem with the kde plugin, can you confirm?
What I can confirm is that the stacktrace does not match the error description since it is during a regular shutdown (hence the DeInitVCL on the stack), not during the FirstStart Wizard.
I have the same problem. On command line, cd to my soffice installation: $ ./soffice then error is: ./soffice: line 120: 5125 Segmentation fault "$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@" my OS is Redhat6.1 Need your help. Regards. Li Meiying (amy2008 in old www.OpenOffice.org)
The registration dialog is killed at the new Apache OpenOffice. So this should be anymore a problem. So I will close this issue as fixed
