Description jmadero 2010-06-28 18:49:37 UTC
I have attached a document to show what is happening. Essentially when I use
some fonts (especially fonts added to my machine) when I use them the alignment
is off and the auto resize for rows does not work correctly (the auto resize
columns does). If I select all and double click the line between two rows there
is no resize done and bigger/"fancier" fonts appear to be cut off and not
legible.

To replicate:
Download a font of your choice from any free site (I get mine from
1001freefonts.com), install it. Then use the font as a larger size (size 16
seems to be a good choice). Select the entire sheet and go to format -> column
and choose optimal width, then choose format -> rows and choose optimal height,
you'll see that the width works fine, the height does not.

Thanks for the hard work and the great product

NOT Reproducible with "Auto Size Cell.ods" and "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE[OOO310m19
(Build 9420)]" (without installing additional fonts)!
Font "Brooklyn Kid" is not available on "1001freefonts.com"

Linux specific? Without plausible Version information this issue is INVALID.

@jmadero:
Pls. feel free to reopen the issue if you find out that the problem still exists
in a current stable version (3.1.1 or later).
May I ask you to read our guidelines on
<http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html> and
<http://www.openoffice.org/bugs/bug_writing_guidelines.html> before you file
further issues or post again here? Then please select correct information for
Issue Tracker selection field Version, contribute a clear step by step
instruction containing all observations (error messages ...), EVERY key press
and EVERY mouse click how to reproduce the problem, and explain why you believe
that your results are unexpected.
That means (for example):
do not write something like "I am not able to ...", but
  6. left mouse click on …
     expected: …, color of … changes, …
actual: no …., color remains white, no …

Screenshots might help to explain the problem.

Please
- always specify your OOo download source, version, localization,
OS and Platform you used for your tests!
