Description Regina Henschel 2010-06-29 21:18:33 UTC
Text with Cambria Math gets a totally wrong font height. Open the attached files
in OOo and in Word 2010. The fonts Cambria and Cambria Math should have the same
height.

If you apply "overline" to the Cambria Math characters, you will notice, that it
is broken.

@Regina: "The fonts Cambria and Cambria Math should have the same height." why?
Formatting the same text in Wordpad with both fonts gives the same different
results.

Or are you only talking about underline/overline?

@es: "'The fonts Cambria and Cambria Math should have the same height.' why?"
Because Word 2010 shows them in the same height and Internet Explorer too.

Looking around in Internet [1], I think, that it is a problem with this special
font. Application need to be designed to use the font in a correct way. For
interoperability OOo should be enhanced to show the font in the same way Word does.

@OD: please have a look. Both Cambria fonts are on my tausch dir under "Cambria"

I believe this is a general problem with Math fonts, e.g. Neo Euler, in general. LibreOffice already solved the issue, please see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55469

Also this happens on Linux as well, currently on AOO 4.1.
