Description groucho266 2010-07-06 15:19:39 UTC
The SdrPaintView::SetAnimationEnabled() method does seem to work. Animated GIFs
are still being animated after calling this method with FALSE.

Turning off animated images temporarily is necessary to improve the rendering
speed in slide shows. When not done (as is currently the case) the images are
animated at the same time in the (full screen) slide show and the (then not
visible) edit view.

How to reproduce:
1. Apply diff (that I will add later) to the SlideShow class in sd. Build and
start office.
2. Put one animated GIF (from the gallery for example) on the slide and start
the slide show.
3. The GIF is animated in the slide show and, in the background, in the edit view.

See issue 82275 for more on performance problems with animated images.
Comment 3 Martin Hollmichel 2011-03-15 11:07:17 UTC
set target to 3.x since they are not release relevant for 3.4
Comment 4 Marcus 2017-05-20 11:11:39 UTC
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
