Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 113135
Headers and footers are sometimes lost
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:22:00 UTC
Headers and footers in a confidential document I have are visible in Word 97 but not in OOo. When printed to PDF from OOo they are not shown either.
If the document is confidential, please send it to mru@openoffice.org. Maybe the problem is duplicate to issue 107200?
Not sure if this a duplicate or not. This seems to be to do with import rather than export as the document originated from Word (not sure which version it was created in). Confidential document has been sent to mru.
MRU->OD: see my attached sample. Scroll down so that the footer area will move out of visible area, the scroll up -> Footer text is not visible anymore.
I'm sorry, I can't find an attachment but with the doc I sent, there was no graphic on the pages where the headers and footers had vanished - ie the 3rd and subsequent pages.
Using OOo 3.2.1 I cannot confirm your newest update of the problem. I have Headers and footers correctly displayed on ever page from the second on. Only thing is, that the Header content is centered in OOo due an incompatibility with tabs in right aligned paragraphs - but this is tracked in a different issue.

I only have OOo 3.2.0 so maybe - just maybe - my prob is fixed in 3.2.1. When is it released? The front page of my example is not pertinent to the problem I reported. Opening either of your examples in OOo 3.2.0 what I assume is the footer appears for a while then disappears. I can't open the .doc file in Word 97.
Have just upgraded to 3.2.1 and my headers and footers are still missing.
Created attachment 76195 [details] Report created with Word 2010, note the header on top page 2. If this report is opened and saved in Writer 3.3, some text formatting on page 1 is modified, and the header on top page 2 disappears.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
