Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 113607
Start Centre:Open two dialogs when double click the "Open a document" button
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:31:14 UTC
It should open only one Dialog when I double click the "Open a document" button on Start Centre. However It open two Dialogs. How to reproduce this issue: 1. Start OpenOffice.org 2. Double click the "Open a document" button on the Start Centre 3. Open two "Open" dialogs Expected results: It should open a dialog. ps. It open only one dialog if I use OpenOffice.org dialog. (checked Option/General/Use OpenOffice.org Dialogs)
The start center has a single click interface. So a double click is the same as two single clicks. @fl: should we catch and suppress all "extra" clicks in the start center?
@ mba: It's absolutely nonsense to open two file open dialogs on a double click (except you want to open two documents :-)). As you have written, suppress all extra clicks.
fl: I could not reproduce this on Windows XP (OOo m4). But sure one dialog is enough.
please take over
@cd: This is reproducible only on the first double click; later on only one dialog opens. I see this only on the Vista/7 native picker, no problem on gtk, mac or the generic OOo picker. The file picker implementations (or framework) seems to have a protection against opening more than one instance per frame, which in the vista/7 case is not working. Since the dispatch of two open URLs can happen in other scenarios than the StartCenter "Open" button, I think the correct fix would be to fix the Vista/7 picker itself. E.g. you get the same 2 pickers by pressing "Ctrl-O" two times fast enough. In this case also the two dialogs appear only the first time.
set target to 3.x since not release relevant for 3.4 release.
