Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 113780
Minimized Office window should return to normal size when opening document from Explorer/Desktop
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:31:14 UTC
When an OOo document is already opened, if you close it and move to another window and then you click on the document icon on the desktop or in Explorer to re-open, the document window will no longer pop-up but stays minimized on the application tray. Sequence - I open for the first time OOo by double clicking on the icon of an OOo document (e.g. text but the same applies also to spreadsheet) on the Desktop or in Explorer (in the following I will call that text document “A”) - the “A” document window opens correctly - I close the document “A” (but not OOo) - I move to another window (e.g. Explorer or Desktop) were the “A” document is stored - I click again on the “A” document icon but the document window doesn't open but stays minimized in the application bar
In OOo 3.3 I am only able to reproduce the problem when the Office window is minimized by the user after a document has been closed. If the user has minimized the OpenOffice window, it should return to normal size when a document is being opened via doubleclick in Windows Explorer e.g. Currently it stays in minimized mode, which is not what the user expects.

Changing component to "Framework" as long as this occurs in all OOo applications.
