Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 114017
Heavy system-load on large odt, Editing not possible, also crashes
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:44:31 UTC
Remark: The developer of the OS/2-port confirmed this problem also on his Ubuntu-System. I tried to work on my Dissertation. It is not possible. Open the doc - wait a few second (maybe enter a word or so) - clock/cursor-problem (fast changing between clock and cursor) appears (heavy system load. Heavy system load at beginning of working in the doc was also in 2.4.0)) - after about 30 sec. normal cursor - but editing words takes two seconds per !character! -> work on my Dissertation is not possible with latest build (3.2.0).
Created attachment 71220 [details] Document that makes the problem
Created attachment 71221 [details] Used font-file (maybe this helps)
MRU->MST: I had a closer look with OD; in a non-pro a Heap corruption is detected while page formatting is performed. In the pro build I was able to get a crash when entering text somewhere in the document.
The problem exist also on my PuppyEEE with OOo 3.2.1 The document crashes the system (Black screen, only with mouse).
Also unable to reload previous 4.0.1 programme having deleted 4.1.1 from programme list. Panel shows "close 4.0.1 amd 4.0.1 document" - Page disappears when acknowledged
