Description dspokas 2010-09-03 22:21:28 UTC
When attempting to open documents from SharePoint server 2007 in a thin client
terminal server environment the document fails to open. In the task manager a
process for soffice.exe starts but the screen never displays. The word
processing application never starts. Same thing happens with Excel

When opening the document an error "OpenOffice Enterprise is unable to validate
its license" is displayed. Then a message states "Eitehr another instance of
OPen Office-Enterprise is accessing your personal settings or your personal
settings are locked. Simultaneous access can lead to inconsistencies in your
personal settings. Before continuing, you should make sure
user 'SHCMAIL.atnurse' closes OPenOffice-Enterprise on host SHCDTCVTS02" Do you
reeally want to continue?"
The terminal server is Windows 2003.
