Description jumbo444 2010-09-21 20:30:56 UTC
Hello,

When testing insertion of automatic non breaking space for French (issue 17169),
it does not work if a double punctuation is inserted at the second place at the
beginning of a paragraph. An example may be more understandable. Type with
French settings:
De: moi<carriage return>
À: lui

You get
De<nbsp>: moi<carriage return>
À: lui

You should get a non breaking space between "À" and ":"

Have a good day.

@cedricbosdo: this applies to every single character at the beginning of a
paragraph.

@ja: thanx for lurking on the corner! ;)

set target 3.x since not relevant for 3.4 release.

Hello,

Why postponed resolution of this bug as it is already solved in LibreOffice 3.3.1? Same code correction can not be used?

Without any animosity of course, I just want to understand.

Thanks.

Interesting case here...
I strongly suppose that the one who fixed it in LO is the current assignee of this issue ;)
So Cédric might have "forgotten" to submit a patch back to OOo.
If he does not intend to do so, it would be nice to say it so that we can reassign to an other developper.

Well, I don't care about what happens here anymore... Consider me as a dead body for OpenOffice.org.

@os: can you please take over? Thanks!

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
