Description martijn_v 2010-09-23 11:24:26 UTC
Every time I edit a form, the ruler shows. And I keep having to hide it, because:
- I don't need it
- It takes up to much space (I have big, table style forms)

Also: often the window size gets bigger when I open a form for editing, and I'm
expecting this is related to the ruler being loaded when it was hidden before.

- Create new database form.
- Open form for editing
- Hide ruler
- Remember window size (not maximized, window smaller than the screen)
- Close form
- Reopen form for editing
- Ruler is back, window might be bigger as well

The data input mode the ruler hides when saved wit that option.
In edit mode the ruler help creating form, and it seems to me, this behavior is
expected by most of the users.
Changing this behavior, not a bug more an enhancement.
Change issue type.

It's not just about the ruler showing. It's also a matter of the form getting
larger everytime. Sometimes when the form opens it has become so big that it
doesn't fit on the screen anymore. And I suspect the space the ruler takes up
has something to do with that.
