Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 114737
Compare Documents title is misleading (an Ignore Changes button is required also)
Last modified: 2014-01-28 15:17:50 UTC
The "Compare Documents" title is misleading. (As a minimum solution, an "Ignore Changes" button is required within the Compare Documents dialogue box). The current title "Compare Documents" is very dangerous, and I hesitate recommending this feature to another person, in case they accidental save the document after performing a "comparison" (automatic edit). The "Compare Documents" Feature by default modifies a document based upon a comparison, so, if this title is to be maintained, the compare documents feature should not modify a document by default, but ask the user whether they wish to modify a document based upon a comparison) It is not clear whether 'Reject Changes' or 'Accept Changes' button ignores the changes highlighted during the comparison. An "Ignore Changes" button is required as a minimum, but preferably, the user interface should first ask the user whether they wish to edit ones existing document (instead of just performing a comparison). Cheers, Richard
Not a P1 issue. Read the guide line.
No problem about the priority change
