Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 115552
Unable to use Windows Live Mail 2011 to send e-mail
Last modified: 2013-10-25 10:58:04 UTC
Hello, Download WLM 2011 and configue it as default e-mail client Run WordPad and try to send a file by e-mail, that's work! Now, run Writer and try to use File > Send > Document as E-mail That's failed! Error dialog: OpenOffice.org was unable to find a working e-mail configuration. Please save this document locally instead and attach it from within your e-mail client
IMHO Windows Live Mail is currently not supported by OOo, so this is more an enhancement issue
Enregistrez etc...
i have same issue in windows 7 professional service pack 1 32 bit with windows live mail 2011. PLEASE UPDATE, FIX IT! URGENT!!!
have the same problem! ANNOING!!!
using OOo 3.3 and can't send email from it using WLM2011 as the default email client. PLEEZ fix this. Just upgraded to Windows 7 from XP.
HELLO: Also have same problem with Vista & Windows Live Mail = can't send email thru OO 3.3. R
I uninstalled WLM 2011 and installed WLM (2009) and now OOo can send email through it but can't open docx attachment from inside email client, but can open it if I save attachment to desktop first. (On Windows 7 computer - but can on my Windows XP computer). Then downloaded trial version of Microsoft Office 2010 and all works hunky dory :( - don't want to buy it - want OOo
Recently,i purchased microsoft outlook as my e-mail client and uninstalled wlm. Thus i am now able to send an e-mail directly from oo with outlook as my e-mail client. Problem solved, but it cost me.
Please, a fix would be phenomenal. Thanks.

It would be very convenient if AOO works again (under Windows 8) with WLM like under Windows XP.
