I had Open Office 3.2.1 already installed and working fine. Today I updated to
version 3.3. The installation process went smoothly but when I opened Calc for
the first time the toolbars and menu bar were about twice as tall as the icons
and text.
This is how the UI looked:

I tried re-installing but the result was the same. The issue happens in all Ooo
applications, not only in Calc. LibreOffice 3.3 has the same behaviour.
I uninstalled OOO 3.3, reinstalled 3.2 and everything was back to normal.

Try switching to Windows XP standard theme.
