Description adrianjball 2011-03-05 01:07:23 UTC
I have a spreadsheet with many hyperlinks to other sheets (in the same file). The other sheets are named with a number (102011 for example). The hyperlinks as created in 3.2 switch to the appropriate sheet when clicked. But after upgrading to 3.3, clicking on the hyperlink just jumps to row 102011 in the index sheet.

I have reverted to 3.2.1, as I have way too many hyperlinks of this type to go through and re-do them all. However, this seems like a bug to me - probably an oversight in the handling of hyperlinks with the new '1M rows' feature.

All the hyperlinks were created by selecting 'Target in Document' then 'Sheet' and selecting the relevant sheet from the list presented.

getting rid of value "enhancement" for field "severity".
For enhancement the field "issue type" shall be used.

Hyperlinks created with 3.0.1 function OK with
AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1543812
Rev.1543812
Win 7

Incorrect. In 4.0.1 simply name a sheet '123456' then in another sheet use Insert - Hyperlink - Document then Target in Document and select the 123456 sheet in the dropdown list of sheets. Then when you click on the link in an attempt to go to the '1234565' sheet, you instead drop down to row 123456 in the sheet you are in.

Not only do numbered hyperlinks generated in 3.0.1 NOT work in 4.0.1, but links you create in 4.0.1 don't work either! Just try it - you will see. Use a 6 digit number for your sheet. This got broken with the '1M rows' feature that got added in 3.3.

Thank you for clarifying.

Indeed a bug. In comment 2 I've added a specific cell in the hyperlink. When no cell is specified hyperlink will not direct to desired sheet.

For some reason, I can't change bug status to Confirmed.
