Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 118375
bad package openofficeorg-ure in Solaris distribution of OOo 3.3
Last modified: 2013-01-29 21:48:57 UTC
The package openofficeorg-ure in both the sparc and x86 distributions for Solaris is missing all of the files listed in the pkgmap. The installer does not report an installation failure, but OOo will not run due to missing libraries. Here is what I see when I look at the package for sparc Solaris: % cd OOO330_m20_native_packed-1_en-US.9567/packages/openofficeorg-ure % ls -R .: archive install pkginfo pkgmap reloc ./archive: none.bz2 ./install: copyright depend i.none ./reloc: opt ./reloc/opt: openoffice.org ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org: ure ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org/ure: bin lib share ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org/ure/bin: ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org/ure/lib: ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org/ure/share: java misc ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org/ure/share/java: ./reloc/opt/openoffice.org/ure/share/misc: The distribution is unusable.
can you please test a developer snapshot from https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/AOO+3.4+Unofficial+Developer+Snapshots OOo3.3 is out of scope now and we move forward to a new 3.4 release after the code were granted to Apache. The focus is the 3.4 and no updates will be provided on 3.3 because of the incompatible license.
