Description roger 2012-03-10 17:08:51 UTC
If a Basic macro in a Calc document contains a syntax error (which can easily happen when converting from MSOffice), the error is reported and the document cannot be opened. However, neither can it be closed - the error reporting popup repeatedly reappears. The Windows Task Manager has to be called into play.

(Once this is known, the easy workaround is to disable macros before opening the document.)

It would be helpful if a Cancel or Abort response was available, rather than just OK.
