build info :r1327774 English (en-US)   OS:Linux x86-64 DEB 
 
I installed openoffice the 64bit DEB on Ubuntu 11.10 ,install process is fine ;but double-click the icon of openoffice ,no response
can anyone else  help me  verify and solve this problem ,thanks

the same installing process apply to  32bit DEB ,no problem

Linux Terminal prompting the error message: not found soffice.bin

As there has been no activity on this in 4.5 years and it is against version 3.4 I am losing this as obsolete.
