Need a volunteer with access to Russian install or language pack check if this is still a problem.
OOo 4.1.2 -> the same i guess you just can grep russification sources ( given proper charset - UTF-8? Windows-1251? KOI8-R ? ) for the words. Correct (and met with most functions): преобразует, Преобразует Incorrect : преобразовывает, Преобразовывает
No response in over over a year. Closing as Obsolete
How can be response when no one ever asked for response ??? Why first closing the ticket then asking for responses afterwards? Ok, I gave you response two days ago - any reaction to the response you received? None. This bug is still there as of OOo 4.1.5

Done suggestion. one may have a rule of thumb, that verbs with ....овыва... sound ugly and are usually vulgar forms. It was twice sad as the correct verb was already there in another function description.
If to compare Pootle with services like Transifex, Pootle seems to lack the ability to leave comment together with a suggestion, reasoning and explanation, or a link to the tracker. https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide/Offline_Translation This page tells "you can download" but does not tell exactly how. I found the way, but the very need to look for it can be a barrier against an impulse to help. Kind of wonder, why downloading is needed, why not to reverse the files from c:\Program Files\OpenOffice 4\program\resource\ to their source form.

Maybe it was 1) when you pointed where to do it (Could be great if it was in OOo UI, like it was in ICQ translation once ago) 2) but suggestion is just that, it is not in the new release, it is not substitution for bugzilla

All Bugzilla can do is point up a potential problem. The solution has to come via action by a volunteer stepping up and doing the required work. We would greatly appreciate your expertise to improve the Russian Translation. To become part of the translation team follow the procedures laid out in the Introduction to Localization page at https://openoffice.apache.org/translate.html. This is actually a good time to become involved as the project is going through a process to upgrade the translations for the next projected release.
