export chart to an external image file
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:18:42 UTC
I want to save a spreadsheet chart to an external image file, such as jpg, wmf or svg. Whenever I try and save a chart, the dialog box doesn't list any file type options and trying to save at that point causes an error: Error saving document Untitled: Wrong parameter. The operation was started under an invalid parameter.

This feature is sorely lacking! A tolerable alternative would be for the Draw component to support a 'shrink page to fit' option. I am currently pasting my charts into Draw, but I must go through a silly process to resize the page to the chart before I can export it in a sane way. JP
Wow, this bug has been on the file for FOUR YEARS?

Hm, it seems that the votes got lost due to the component change, hm hm. There is a newer task also about chart export which has some votes already. Due to that fact I exceptionally will set this older issue as duplicate to keep as much votes as possible. Please add your votes to the other issue to indicate your interest. Thanks a lot.
