Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 121246
File-Template-Edit not doing what is suppose to do.
Last modified: 2014-02-14 12:52:27 UTC
For example File-Template-Save - is saving template into default location for all template. But File-Template-Edit - is trying to open default "My Documents" location, where is not template. I know it is exist possibility to edit template by File-Template-Organize-'right click Edit', and it is opening Template in proper location. So may be need to delete File-Template-Edit in this case?

I cannot reproduce it on Linux: File - Template - Edit opens the path that is set under Tools - Options - OpenOffice - Paths - Templates: $HOME/.openoffice.org/3/user/template
Sorry. Changed from All OS to Windows 7 on which it was tested.
(In reply to comment #2) > Sorry. Changed from All OS to Windows 7 on which it was tested. Did you try with the system dialog or with OpenOffice dialog? You can choose which to use in the Tools - Options dialog, OpenOffice - General.
Hi Agree In System menu in case check "Use OpenOffice dialog" this problem does not exist. But by default this option is unchecked and could confuse users. Thank you.
I couldn't reproduce it with Windows XP: the system dialog opens in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\ariel\Datos de programa\OpenOffice.org\3\user\template I'll try with Windows 7
On Windows 7 the system dialog opens with the *last* used directory. Can you confirm that? In File - Templates - Edit, if I select a document from a folder other than the default templates directory, and other than "My Document", the next time the dialog opens with that initial directory.
Hi I confirmed it on Windows 7. In case of 'Use OpenOffice dialog' is uncheked. 'File-Template-Edit' opening 'last used' directory. I insist that 'File-Template-Edit' should not work like this. Or at least by default setting 'Use OpenOffice dialog' should be "On" by default.
Confirmed with AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1560574 Rev.1560574 Win 7
