Last modified: 2015-04-04 09:05:10 UTC
This text is counted as one word: Hi This text is counted as two: "Hi Note: I have an older version of Open Office 3.3.0, build 9567.
(In reply to comment #0) > This text is counted as one word: Hi > This text is counted as two: "Hi > > Note: I have an older version of Open Office 3.3.0, build 9567. This is still reproducible in 3.4.1 Hi -> 1 word "Hi" -> 2 words "Hi". "Hi". -> 3 words Obviously something is wrong.
And it's even reproducible in 4.1.1 Hi -> 1 word "Hi" -> 2 words "Hi". "Hi". -> 3 words "Hi". \n"Hi". -> 4 words From what I understand, any number of quotation marks on a single line equals one word. Adding a new line and new quotation marks increases the number of words. Considering this was two years ago and a version down from current, this should get fixed. If anyone knows where this function is located, then it would be really useful. My team has a couple guesses, but we're not 100% sure. We're thinking about changing the dictionary for word count.
