Example of disappearing bullets when exported to pdf

Bullets before items in a .doc file are missing in an exported .pdf of the same file. Example .doc file is attached.

Bullet transforms to 35 over 17 when exported to PDF.
Word 2010 and PrimoPDF yield the correct result.

looks like that the used font for the bullet character - in this case the font "Symbol" - needs to be embedded into the PDF.

Workaround:
- Menu File - Export to PDF
- On Tab Pane General check option 'Embed standard fonts'
- Hit button Export
--> created PDF shows the correct bullet character in Adobe Acrobat Reader
