Example 26.docx - original file saved in MSO 2007 SP3, *.jpg - how document looks like in MS Office, Apache OpenOffice and LibreOffice

Apache OpenOffice Version 4.0.0 (AOO400m1(Build:9700) - Rev. 1444151) on Windows XP SP3 Russian

We have document with a table that contain contract clauses.

In AOO 4 table does not fit page size (in some lines letters are outside the border of the page (see Example 26 AOO 4.JPG), there is no right margin of the document at all.

The same problems are in LibreOffce Version 3.6.3.2 and higher and all 4.0.X.X LibreOffce versions.

In MSO 2007 SP3 everything is fine.

I can confirm, that the display it different. But in the .docx file you have left page margin 3cm + table width 18.54cm + right page margin 1.5cm. That sums up to 23.04 cm, which is not possible for a DIN A4 paper sheet. It is arguable, which demand should be dropped on import.
Comment 2 Timon 2013-03-13 14:44:57 UTC
Despite that facts, MSO 2007 SP3 could open and print that document on standard A4 paper sheet without any problems.

Word prints the table onto the page margin.

Suggestion: AOO should set the left position of the table to a suitable negative value on import to mimic the table position behavior of MS Word. It seams, that the position information of a floating table (element w:tblpPr) and the indent of a normal table (element w:tblInd) are currently both ignored on import.

There exist additional import problems with the width of some cells in the test document, but those need a separate issue.

Table with negative indent & floating table

The example was generated with a German Word 2010.
