Description Unknown 2003-03-11 10:15:55 UTC
OO Impress has problems with displaying included Graphics when the entire presentation gets too large. I have a lecture presentation with
currently ca. 150 slides which shows according problems - also if RAM assignment in options is increased.

Workaround can be a cut of the presentation in separate chapters - which works well and solves the problem of non displayed Graphics.

But this requires for the chapters 2 - N of the presentation that the user must be able to tell the system, that the page numbering starts at
slide X with X>1. There is no such possibility included - at least neither reachable in menus nor cited in online help.

Regards
Jens

Reassigned to Bettina.

Than you for reporting the issue. I have changed the prio, because
prio 1 only makes sense in case of e.g. data loss, impossibility to
create a doc.
To set a page number starting at a value > 1 might be usefull is some
case.
The problem with displaying graphics you mentioned, please file as
separate defect.

I Changed the target milestone.
Comment 4 bettina.haberer 2004-04-08 19:01:00 UTC
Sorry, it can not get into the Q as it is not part of any presentation keyfeature.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

The Japanese user expects it in this Issue, too.

PowerPoint can easily change the pages of the slide. Look at the next URL.

http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2009/01/19/change-the-number-on-the-first-slide-in-powerpoint-2003/

We think Impress to get possible to change the pages of the slide in the same
procedure.

Is it safe to assume that this issue will not be addressed in the foreseeable future?
