Description seunbabalola997 2013-05-05 23:29:53 UTC
Everytime i try to transfer my powerpoint from open office some of my animations dont transfer as well as my music. It also doesnt work at all when I try it on a mac. It is not due to me keeping it open on open office either I have tried to fix this problem but it doesn't work.

Thanks for your help,

Seun

P.S. I wasnt sure what to put as the version so I just entered the AOO 3.4.1 but that could be incorrect

Environment
OS:Win XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600)
AOO: 4.0.0
MS Office: MS Powerpoint 2007 (12.0.6654.5000) SP3 MSO (12.0.6662.5000)

I was able to partially reproduce this by creating a slide presentation in Impress (see attachments) that included .gif, .mp4 and .wmv files. On exporting to Powerpoint (see attachments), only the .gif files still played. Repro steps below:

1) Created an Impress presentation using the "Introducing a New Product" template
2) Added 2 animated .gif files - each one on a separate slide
3) Added 1 .mp4 file l to a separate slide
4) Added 1 .wmv file to a separate slide
5) Exported the Impress file (.odp) as a Powerpoint file (.ppt)
6) Opened the .ppt file in MS PowerPoint
7) Observed result

The 2 .gif animations still play but there is an error on the second one - see slide 6. Neither the .mp4 or .wmv files play.

No other file types have been attempted.

Exporting from MS PowerPoint into Impress has not been attempted.

NB: I reproduced this by exporting in the following two ways:
a) Select: File > Send > E-mail as Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation...
b) Select: File > Save As... and select "Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP (.ppt)" from the "Save as type" field
