Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 122390
Menu shortcut used twice in Swedish translation
Last modified: 2023-07-07 16:48:46 UTC
The "File" menu translated to "Fil" in Swedish has the F underlined as keyboard shortcut. The same is used for "Window" translated to "Fönster" in Swedish, where the F is underlined. The common translation for "File" is "Arkiv" with the A underlined as shortcut (MS Word and Excel for example), which would eliminate the conflict.
@Tommy: can you check if it is still reproducible in the current 4.0.0 translation? This would be: https://translate.apache.org/sv/aoo40/officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/translate.html#search=uno_PickList&sfields=locations https://translate.apache.org/sv/aoo40/officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/translate.html#search=uno_WindowList&sfields=locations I assume that yes, it is still reproducible (but I don't know Swedish): ~File -> ~Fil ~Window -> ~Fönster
I see we now have an (anonymous) suggestion to use "~Arkiv" in Pootle. If accepted, this will probably fix the issue. Anyway, if we are to release 4.0 in Swedish with the first group, this should be evaluated as a stopper, according to target.
remove showstopper request fixed on Pootle and will be fixed with the next translation update for Swedish. Currently no activity ongoing for Swedish.
Versions 4.0.0 and 4.0.1: the download page offers neither full installation nor language pack for Swedish (sv). Version 4.1.0 has menu items: "Arkiv" and "Fönster". Same in version 4.1.12 Issue resolved.
