Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 122490
Print Preview and Export to PDF repaginates document, which causes the index to be incorrect
Last modified: 2013-06-08 19:25:56 UTC
I am in the process of writing a book that says it is now about 400 pages long. It is being fully indexed as I proceed through the book. I will update the index and table of contents and then go to print preview or export the document as a pdf and the first thing that OpenOffice does is repaginate the document. When the document is repaginated for Print Preview or as a PDF the slight changes make some of the index entries incorrect.
Please attach samples before and after preview / export to PDF.
Created attachment 80793 [details] Jamestown before preview on page 261
Created attachment 80794 [details] Jamestown in print preview on page 262 when you ask it to print preview or create a pdf then it repaginates and this messes with the photos so that sometimes it makes large breaks in the text
Created attachment 80795 [details] in print preview here is the index reflecting the before pic seems to me that if it is going to repaginate then it should also update the indexes and table of contents...that would fix the problem...it would be better if it did not repaginate in the first place when you ask it for a print preview or pdf
Thank you for the snapshots.
