With task 118592 the PDF import extension is not a part of Apache OpenOffice releases. The AOO part of their source code has been relicensed to ALv2, but some dependencies would violate release criteria for an ASF project.

The source parts have the right license, are interesting and so they should be kept. Some multi-megabyte test files are wasteful and have become unneeded. They should be removed.

With the commits above 82MB of unneeded test data have been removed from the source tree and test1 has been disabled. Test0 is still enabled as it only takes negligible 100kB. If needed the test1 data files (binary_1_out.def, text_1_out.def, book.pdf) are still available at http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/!svn/bc/1500000/openoffice/tags/AOO341/main/sdext/source/pdfimport/xpdftest/
