Description fanyuzhen 2013-07-16 07:05:23 UTC
Steps:
1. Insert a drawing object, or a picture
2. Modify object position via sidebar, for example, set vertical value as -0.20cm
3. Open Position and Size dialog, and check Position Y's value

Actual result: it's 0.00cm
Expected result: it's same as the value in sidebar, -0.20cm

I am not quite sure how to understand steps 2 and 3. Is there any other way to set the position other than via the 'Position and Size' panel?

However, I can not reproduce this bug (on Windows 7). First I used the 'Position and Size' panel to set both x and y position to -0.2cm. Result: the top left of the shape is slightly outside the page border and the status bar shows the correct position.

Then I moved the shape inside the page (to force an update of its position) and then back slightly outside the top left page corner. The x and y position values in the panel are correctly updated.

Therefore I set the status to unconfirmed.

I can confirm the issue for r1502185 on Windows7. Notice, that this is about Calc.

You get the Position&Size dialog via context menu of the selected shape or via Format > Graphic > Position&Size
It doesn't matter whether the graphic is anchored to cell or to page (which is actually not page but table).
In page preview you see the graphic cut at the edge of the table.

It's confirmed

ALG: Calc does not allow negative values for X/Y position, thus this needs to be corrected in the slot execution in clalc itself; it needs to check/clamp the values before using them. If someone knows better about negative positions in calc, please step in.
