Description Gilberto 2013-09-10 17:07:52 UTC
Enter 'KB' in IF function on a cell generate #RIF error instead of correct result.

Example normal: the formula =if(G2='GB';1;2) results 1 or 2 if cell G2 is equal or different to 'GB'.

Example with wrong result: the formula =if(G2='KB';1;2) results always #RIF.

Are you sure about the single quotes in 'GB' and 'KB'?

Please attach a small document, which shows the error.
Comment 2 Edwin Sharp 2013-09-11 06:46:56 UTC
=if(G2='KB';1;2) gives #NAME?
=if(G2="KB";1;2) gives correct results.

sorry for the waste of your time. Today my fresh mind do not find any problem. Yesterday evening I was convinced that the function builder automaticly tranlated the double quote to a single one. But today is not, so it's my fault.
Sorry again, thanks
