Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 123459
Saving changes fields font
Last modified: 2013-11-07 03:43:56 UTC
Created attachment 81743 [details] Example file When saving a document *.doc with 'custom' fields, the font of the fields gets changed. To reporduce: Open the attached file. Select all and change the font to Arial. Save and close the doc. Open the doc. The custom field font will be incorrect.
Failed to reproduce bug using example file. I tried in two different ways that might be of interest. Both times I changed all of the font to Arial, then saved the file with one of the following two options: (1) "Keep Current Format" (2) "Save in ODF Format" Upon reopening with Writer, I observed that the font remained Arial for both attempts. OO Version: 4.0.1 OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
my text reverts to Calibri upon reopen. AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1523756 2013-09-16 20:50:21 (Mo, 16 Sep 2013) Win 7
Click on the field to see what the font has changed to. Maybe changing everything to Arial Black will make the change more visible. I dont "save as", just press the "save" toolbar button, then close the application with the "red X" on windows. My font also changes to Calibri when I reopen the file.
Ah I see. Thank you for pointing out my mistake. My font also changes to Calibri when I reopen the file.
Rob Brunner, 11/6/2013: OpenOffice Version 4.0.1 OS: Windows 8 I can confirm that this is an issue. After testing, I can add that this issue only applies to custom fields. Non-custom fields update and save with no errors. Also, font sizes of the custom fields properly save and update as well, so the issue seems to be limited to font-styles.
