Calc is very slow in opening this file

Moving here part of the discussion from https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123429 since it's unclear if the root cause is the same for both files.

Let's keep this issue open for discussing the BG_8_RdA_RES5.xlsx file only (reattached to this issue).

another testcase

1 sheet, 9 rows x 11 cols: opening with excel 2010 takes 0.3 sec.,
while OO takes ~10min.

The document does not only contain the rows with real content, but thousands of rows of the kind

Following Microsoft's tip in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff726673%28v=office.14%29.aspx#xlMinUsedRange I can see, that the last used cell is K65536 in the attached document.

Confirmed with 4.0.1: file takes ~70 seconds to open on my system, while OpenOffice 3.3.0 opens it in <1 second. Regression.

Excel 2010      : 1 sec
Gnumeric 1.10.16: 2 sec
Calc 4.1        : 3 min 16 sec

Additional info:
(a) server installation of  "AOO 3.4.0 – German UI / German locale 
   [AOO340m1(Build:9590) - Rev.1327774]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", 
   own separate user profile istuation is even worse, needs 3 Minutes or so to
   open that document, I am not sure whether roots.
(b) Still Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English  UI /
    English locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750)  -  Rev. 1546757 - 2013-12-02]" 
    on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.
