Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 123995
Wrong results with wildcard characters if there are multiple conditions when importing *.xls
Last modified: 2017-05-20 09:54:46 UTC
AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1548193 Step: 1.Launch application. 2.Open excel sample file 'wildcard_countif.xls' with AOO. notes : Make sure that option 'Enable regular expressions in formulas' in Options unchecked. 3.Check actual results. Expected Issue: Formulas with wildcard '*'; '?'; '~' can work correctly as expected result. Actual Issue: Formulas with wildcard '*'; '?'; '~'(Cell5/6/7) can display wrongly compared with D5/6/7

Additional Info: (a) Not a new issue, already reproducible with AOO 4.0.1 ... back to OOo 1.1.5 (b) I did a quick test for "formula COUNTIF with wildcard "?"". It seems I get correct result with RE search string ".*WH.*6.8.*" in Find, Filter and also formula works correct. So there might (c) Might be related to "Issue 123908 - Database formulas show wrong results with wildcard characters if there are multiple conditions" "Issue 17993 - Add wildcards to the standard autofilter" "Issue 32344 - Simple wildcards * and ? as opposed to regular expressions" (d) Currently too much uncertainty for an independent CONFIRMED issue @liuping Did you already check these relations?
