The LICENSE file we distribute with 4.0.1 is complete and contains all the expected notices, but the facility to show it from the OpenOffice GUI (Help - About - License) cuts it at 65535 characters.

The full file should be displayed, or a workaround found by version 4.1.

No other implications, since the file is complete, only the display is broken.

Reproducible:

Visible text in 'Help - About - License' ends with string "FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL".
My count (Text Document AOO and LibO counts 62841 Characters.

License.txt in <ProgramInstallation>\share\readme\ seems complete

We have the same problem with license display at installation of an extension.

See Bug 95086 License text > 65500 chars cannot display

I think both bugs should be corrected together.

This is quite impossible, it would take months to replace the old string classes with rtl::OUstring
