Autoformat on paragraph numbering can get annoying. There should be a way to shut it off until end of document instead of just undo or the very temporary shut off provided by the numbering on/off button, which automatically turns back on.

Bug: Start typing a line with 1) and next 2) then it automatically decides to renumber and sometimes indent if you insert a line in between which you may not want to  give  a number.

Solution  Give the outline button some meaning.  Instead of just stopping the current autoformat event, then  doing it again, STOP AUTOFORMAT forever until the button is turned back on.

Tools → AutoCorrect Options…
Tab: Options, Column [T], uncheck: [_] Apply numbering
