Description Rainer Bielefeld 2014-04-04 04:56:41 UTC
Steps how to reproduce Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-dev – English UI / German locale - [AOO410m14(Build:9760) - Rev. 1583418_2014-04-02]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.

1. In Writer <f1> for Help
2. In Find (Tab) search for "Non-Breaking"
   > Hits appear
3. Double-Click hit "Formatting Mark"
   > Description of Non-breaking hyphen appears
4. Double-Click hit "Inserting protected ..."
   > Description of Non-breaking dash appears

Both the same, but different wording

5. Double-Click hit "Hyphenation"
   > Description how to insert Non-breaking hyphen appears
6. Double-Click hit "Shortcut keys"
   > Description how to insert Non-breaking dash appears

In menu 'Insert → Formattin Mark' it's called "Non-breaking hyphe"n, same in 'Customize Toolbar'
So Help should use "hyphen"

+1, the official name for this symbol (U+2011) is also "non-breaking hyphen"
