Comment 1 Shenfeng Liu 2014-04-18 05:32:14 UTC
I tried on the following build on Windows 7 but didn't reproduce the crash.

AOO410m17(Build:9763) - Rev. 1586584
2014-04-11 08:56:50 (Fr, 11 Apr 2014)
Comment 2 Steve Yin 2014-04-18 05:34:35 UTC
Reproduced on AOO410m15(Build:9761). Win 7 64.
Comment 3 Rainer Bielefeld 2014-04-18 10:04:05 UTC
@liuping,  Steve Yin.:
"Depot" contains 17 Macros. What one did you run?
Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld 2014-04-18 10:04:30 UTC
Might be related to "Issue 124332 - CRASH when run macro "Depot-CommonLang-LoadDepotDialogs""
Comment 5 Steve Yin 2014-04-18 10:27:33 UTC
Hi Rainer. I just ran the first macro "Depot". And I also found running other macros will also crash the AOO. From my debugging information, it seems related to a shell's undomanager, but I cannot confirm this is the root cause.

It also cannot be reproduced on AOO 4.0.1.

To this scenerio applies what I wrote in Bug 123298
This isn't a real test case scenario because the user isn't supposed to blindly eecute randon macros listed there; just think that any extension can install macros, and will appear listed in that dialog, these macros are supposed to be used internally by the extension, not to be executed by the user.
Comment 8 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2014-04-22 08:02:40 UTC
I can not reproduce a crash on executing one of the macros.

I only get BASIC run time errors. As Ariel already stated the macros are not for user execution.
Comment 9 Rainer Bielefeld 2014-04-22 08:11:14 UTC
Of course we need to fix any CRASH vulnerability, it does not matter whether the Macro is created for being executed the way a user does or not.
But as long as we do not have an instruction how to reproduce the crash nothing can be done.

@liuping, Steve Yin, others
Most promising way is to test with a fresh new server installation with it's own independent user profile. That are test conditions what can be reproduced easily.
For that test conditions please contribute a clear, simple step by step instruction how to reproduce the crash.
Comment 10 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2014-04-22 08:15:58 UTC
@Rainer: Thus, you are not able to reproduce the crash?

@Ariel: Are you able to reproduce the crash?
Comment 11 Steve Yin 2014-04-22 08:20:35 UTC
It cannot be reproduced on my Win 7 system now. Mark it to unconfirmed.
Comment 12 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2014-04-22 08:27:38 UTC
'unconfirmed' due to comment #11
Comment 13 Rainer Bielefeld 2014-04-22 08:29:53 UTC
NOT reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – German UI / German locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1537508 - 2013-11-02]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.

From IDE - Select macro I tried all SUBs of 'OO Macros - Depot - CommonLang': no crash. Be fore I test all one by one I hope we can get better hints how to provoke a crash.
Comment 14 jsc 2014-04-22 12:26:52 UTC
patch for bringing moz bootstrap reviewed and integrated. We have now the same behaviour as before, still not optimal because the dependency to mozilla certificate stores.
Comment 15 jsc 2014-04-22 12:33:38 UTC
sorry, please forget the last comment 14, it was intended for a different issue
Comment 16 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2014-04-22 13:29:33 UTC
back to unconfirmed after the accidental change
Comment 17 jsc 2014-04-22 14:50:04 UTC
I tested it with my latest build (rev.1589052) on MacOS and got no crash but a scripting error that the number of parameters are wrong or a Basic runtime error ...

But as Ariel mentioned before these macros are not intended to be executed without context.

For me it seems invalid.
Comment 18 liuping 2014-04-23 03:36:43 UTC
It cannot be reproduced on my Win 7 system now.
Comment 19 Steve Yin 2014-04-23 03:57:12 UTC
Based on all previous comments, this issue can not be reproduced on the latest version. Mark it as "IRREPRODUCIBLE".

If someone find a way to reproduce it, please add comments here and reopen the issue. Thanks.
