Description jolatt 2014-05-22 08:36:01 UTC
Toolbar:

Insert - Indexes and Tables'
Insert - Indexes and Tables - Indexes and Tables...
Tools - Update - All Indexes and Tables'

The word 'Tables' should be removed. It has nothing to do with tables.
This concerns also the help.

BTW, in the help you can read 'table of contents' which is IMO similar to 'index' but not to the single word 'table'.

Already changed in the German UI.

It has to do with 'Tables' of contents, which is (I expect) the most common use.

Changing to Insert > Indexes would (I expect) make it even harder for users to find how to insert a ToC.

Insert > Indexes and ToC might work but that also is not clear.

Adding a new entry Insert > Table of Contents that would lead to the same dialog would probably be the clearest change.

INDEX ist the generic term for me and most of the types are called INDEX.
