Description sunseer20140408 2014-06-02 07:05:43 UTC
I use OO to edit xls files very often.

Very recently I upgraded to 4.1.0, but I found that when I save xls files, optimal row heights are not saved.

The replay flow is about to be as follows:

Open calc and save as s new file A.xls .
Close calc.
Open A.xls with calc.
Enter some rows of multiple lines.
Set these rows to optimal heights.
Save A.xls .
Close Calc.
Use calc to open A.xls again.

This time, I found that heights of the rows are not optimal.
Even if I open A.xls with MS Excel, the optimal row heights are still not recovered.

This problem does not happen if everything is done in ods.

I can't reproduce the problem testing AOO 4.1 on Linux, following the steps in the description.

However, I am seeing a similar problem with row heights in .xls files but I only see the problem consistently if the wrapped/multi-line cells are also merged across two or more columns.

Is it possible that your sheet is also using merged cells?
