Initially empty input fields

Open attached document. It contains two lines. Try to enter values into the input fields in line A, try the same in line B. If you jump from input field to input field by using tab and shift-tab, you will notice, that there are indeed input fields in line A.

The problem is severe, because such documents are used in offices to fill forms. The document opens in read-only mode and the user jumps from field to field to fill the form. If the user deletes the content, for example because he notices a mistake, he is not able to reenter the field.

In MS Office such fields are shown with a width of about five blanks when they are empty, so that it is easy to click into the field.

Compared to the Edit mode the field shading for empty Input Fields is missing in read-only mode.

I agree that the visibility of empty Input Fields and the ability to enter them are subject of improvement.
