Description magrawal 2003-03-20 22:50:20 UTC
The scroll wheel in editing mode should help the user scroll between slides.
Maybe it is because I am used to MS Office but I find it very convenient. I
often want to quickly move backward and forward between slides but cannot do it
using the mouse quickly. Right now, using the scroll wheel only moves the
current slide up and down. I generally don't need the slide to move up and down
that frequently while editing because the whole slide fits on my screen anyway.
And the point of a presentation is to write in large fonts for a general
audience, so zooming into a presentation while editing is a rare functionality.
Scrolling between slides in a presentation is likely to be more useful.

For example, in the attached file, say I am editing slide 4 and I
suddenly remember that I want to make a change in slide 2. How can I
goto slide 2? I have to go from drawing view to slide view, select
slide 2 and click drawing mode again to edit slide 2.

Instead, I should be able to scroll the mouse up; or use the up arrow;
or use page up to move between slides while in drawing view.

This is very important while creating presentations, so I am upgrading
the priority to p2. Today I was creating the attached slide and was so
irritated because I had to keep moving between drawing and slide
views.
