Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 125404
Document window is being replaced when Find&Replace dialog is open
Last modified: 2015-06-14 06:38:09 UTC
Multiple document windows are open, for one window the Search&Replace dialog (SRD) is open to perform a search. While the SRD is still open, another document window is brought into foreground by clicking on it. When clicking on the title bar of the document window for which the SRD is open, the document window will be moved underneath the SRD, i.e. the top left corner of the document window touches the bottom edge of the SRD, making (in my case) a larger part of the document invisible, as the SRD is at the right edge of the screen and only a small section of the document window remains visible. This movement of the document window does not happen when I click on another portion of the document window (i.e. not the title bar). The problem is on my system very reproducable, i.e. it occurs always under the said conditions. I can confirm it for Writer and Calc, other portions of AOO I haven't tested.
Behavior described is not in evidence on: AOO411m6(Build:9775) - Rev. 1617669 2014-08-13 09:23 - Linux i686 The SRD dialog box is mostly in the middle of the original document, and, after opening another document (now on top) and then back, there are no changes to the SRD box in the first document. Please provide more information on your OS (Linux version), display (X) environment and video interface.
Linux Version: Kubuntu 14.4 LTS 64 bit, KDE 4.13.2 Make sure when trying to reproduce the problem that you click on the title bar of the document window in the background, because the problem occurs only then. I've had it also in previous versions of Linux, but didn't report it earlier.
Created attachment 84793 [details] where the document is placed when getting back to it
This still happens with AOO 4.1.1., build 9775, Rev. 1617669 Manjaro Linux 64-bit(always up-to-date), KDE 4.14.8
