Hi,

To verify the issue below steps as follows.

1.Open the OpenOffice Database.
2.Now Go to Tools menu and click on the options.
3.Then Options Dialoguebox will be open.
4.Now click on the OpenOffice Base and again click on the Database.
5.Then Registered databases are displayed.
6.Now click on the new button and click on the browse button.
7."Open" dialoguebox will be open then click on the my documents and select any one database and cut that database.
8.Now click on the my computer and again double click on the D: drive then D: drive was open and paste that database,then OpenOffice was hangout.

 i have tried your issue, on verifying  these steps.
 
i to got the same problem like you . open office is not responding

Not clear, what you want to do?
Until step 7 is clear, you try to add new registered database.

You selected the right one, the file link inserted into pop-up box with the registered name, the file selection window closes.
then click on OK, then you added to the registered database.

May be my English is wrong.  

How you can click on my computer in step 8. when file selection window closed?
