Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 125707
Impress Note View jumps back to 1st Slide when I click the slide pane background
Last modified: 2015-05-26 10:05:58 UTC
Impress jumps back to 1st Slide when I click the slide pane background every time in Notes View. I was writng notes for the slide #15 and I clicked the Slide Pane background, then Impress jumped to first slide. This fact occurs every time I click the Slide Pane background.
Please attach a sample file and provide a step-by-step procedure to reproduce.
Procedure to reproduce bug: 1) Open a document for AOO Impress. This document must have at least 3 or more slides to recognize the bug. 2) Select the Notes view, for check additional notes in document. 3) Go to latest slides in Notes view. For example stand on slide #15 of 20. 4) Do a click on the Slide Pane background. Don't click the previews in Slide Pane, do it only in the Slide pane background. 5)And now, Impress should jump back quickly from the slide #15 that you're editing or reading, to first slide.
To click the background of the slide pane is trigger of the starging multiple selection of the slides. Slides are deselected in NormalModeHandler::ProcessButtonDownEvent method when the NOT_OVER_PAGE is contained in the event.
I can confirm this bug with AOOo 4.1.1 AOO411m6(Build:9775) - Rev. 1617669 2014-08-13 09:06:54 (Mi, 13 Aug 2014) Win 8.0. Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a new document 2) Copy the first slide, and paste it 3 times 3) Select the 4th slide in the Slides sidebar 4) Click Notes 5) The selected slide will now jump to the first slide For convenience I have added a sample document: 1) Load 125707.odp 2) Click the 4th slide 3) Click Notes 4) Observe the selected Slide jump to slide #1. This bug is annoying with a few slides (as in the bug), but if you have (for instance) professional training material that runs several hundreds of slides, it will drive a user mad.
