Description ugur 2014-10-16 06:44:18 UTC
Created attachment 84066 [details]
After the third step

1. Switch to full screen using View>Full Screen
2. Click to crosswise arrow on the right upper corner
3. Exit from Full Screen Mode using "Full Screen" option on the left upper corner.
Now the frame will break down.
4. Click crosswise arrow on the right upper corner
The most outer frame is broken! Refer to the attachment.

The problem is that; there is two mechanism to swicth to Full Screen mode.
First one is the View>Full Screen operation, and the second one the crosswise arrow inherited from Mac OS X.

I have experienced it in Writer.

I don't understand what are you talking about "frame".
Please attach a sample file to show this.

By frame I meant the most outer mindow of AOO.

The the photo I have attached to comment #0: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=84066

Please check that photo, there should be name of the document printed at top middle.
There is no close, minimize, maximize buttons at top left. This happens after exiting full screen mode.

I was not able to confirm with AOO 4.1.1 on Windows XP-SP3.

Steps followed:
Opened new text document via quickstart
Clicked View->Full Screen
Result: window went into full screen mode
pressed Esc key to exit full screen mode
Result: window exited full screen mode and returned to normal view without the reported problem.

This may well be an OSX only problem.
Comment 4 ugur 2014-10-28 13:57:34 UTC
Correct: This may be a Mac OS X only bug.

The reason of is problem is having two buttons to switch to full screen mode.

1. In Mac OS X, there is full screen button on the top right corner of AOO inherited form OS.

2. In AOO, there is already one more way to switch full screen mode: "View>Full Screen"

The problem occurs when you use both ways one after the other.

Hi,

I agree what is said by Keith N. McKenna
pressed Esc key to exit full screen mode
Result: window exited full screen mode and returned to normal view without the reported problem.

Hi,

To complete my previous answer :

Via View > Full Screen (or Shift + cmd + j) and return via esc key, all is OK.
However, cmd + w causes the gray screen, you must leave AOO (cmd + q).

If you click on the green button to zoom, then you have to drag the mouse pointer to the top of the screen to make visible the menu bar and click on the green button while holding the alt key.
Otherwise, green screen occurs.

Hi tintin60,

What happens when you try following sequence:

1. shift+cmd+j
2. Hit the green circular button (on Yosemite)
3. Hit ecs

there is problem on my mac

Depending on the resources this might be fixed in a next release.
This is Open source software, you get a product for free - which logic will
allow anyone to acquire endless developer resources?

Hi,

Same problem on Yosemite. When I use Shift + cmd + j and return via esc key, all is OK.

However, if I click on the green button to see full screen, and if I want to get out of full screen by clicking on the red button, black screen occurs. To exit OpenOffice, I have to move my mouse at the top of the screen, to see "OpenOffice > exit" and "file".
