One item that Microsoft Office makes quite well is envelopes (without letters).  I can use a spreadsheet to store the addresses (in OOo it would be Calc) and go into documents (in OOo it would be Writer) and ask it to create a set of envelopes for me to print.  I can't seem to do this in Calc & Writer.  I have made many attempts.  Since I no longer have Microsoft Excel, this creates a huge hole in my year-end needs when I need batches of envelopes for many clients.  Also, Calc is supposed to be saved as a database (Base)?  I don't see it in the "save as" menu.

If you want to say that OpenOffice is better than Microsoft Office, please fix these problems.

the batch of envelopes that I do have I must have created in MS Word because I cannot print these in OpenOffice Writer, they won't turn the right direction.
From what I can tell, so far, I cannot create printable envelopes at all in OpenOffice (unless I use base? which I don't use!)
