Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 126064
no printing
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:55:33 UTC
Printing via Laserjet.drv gives me blank pages or pages with pjl information. I have a number of HP laser printers. I use a printserver, because they are in my network. Cups is no option; the OS/2 version cannot print to network printers. Printing with OO 3.2 is perfect. block ticket 118923

This is also valid for AOO 4.1.1.1 for OS/2. I use LASERJET.DRV. The printer produces only blank pages or pages with '@PJL SET COPIES=1' '@PJL BITSPERPIXEL=2' etc. There is no difference loading the dlls high or low. CUPS is no option because cups cannot cope with printservers.
Please try printing the same doc with both OOo 3.2 and AOO 4.1.1; use a document with only a few words to get a small print job. Before printing set the printer object to print to file. Attach the two files here. Also exact printer driver version is necessary, supply also size and timestamp of .DRV file.

Hi Yuri, Here are the requested files. The printer driver is LASERJET.DRV 2.370.214 bytes date: 31-01-05 version 30.827 BTW Thank you for working java in AOO 4.1.1.1 Leo
The two prn files are almost identical, only two bytes differ! Compare file F:OO32.prn and file F:AOO4111.prn. A COMPARE error occurred at OFFSET 74B Mismatching byte of file 1 = 3D Mismatching byte of file 2 = 3C A COMPARE error occurred at OFFSET 95F Mismatching byte of file 1 = 40 Mismatching byte of file 2 = 41 It sounds strange AOO output starts with PJL... stuffs, the job header is identical. BTW I use cups to print to a network printer here...
